PERRY-Services for Delbert Daniel (Buck) Heather, 87, of Laddonia, will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Bienhoff Funeral Home in Perry with Becky White officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemeter, rural Center. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mr. Heather passed away at 12:20 p.m., November 9, 2013 at Gamma Road Lodge in Wellsville. He was born January 15, 1926 in Ralls County, the son of Charles Otto and Minnie D. Swafford Heather. He was married to Estella Woodhurst on February 14, 1949 in Monroe City and she preceded him in death June 3, 2002. Survivors include: one son, Gary Lee Heather of Montgomery City; one daughter, Heather Helena Rife of Auxvasse; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Tom Heather; and three sisters, Charlesa Woodhurst, Ozelma Warren, and Elvina Miller. Mr. Heather was a lifetime are resident and worked on the construction of the Clarence Cannon Dam for 15 years. He served in the US Army from May of 1946 to May of 1947 and attained the rank of PFC. Memorial contributions may be made to the the Gamma Road Lodge, 250 E. Locust, Wellsville, Mo. 63384. Pallbearers will be his nephews.
